The Chairman, Ikole Local Government Area, Bayo Omojola said he is now better equipped and furnished with the necessary knowledge and strategies to bring about a positive change in the fortune of Ikole LGA.
Omojola stated this when he joined other key stakeholders, who recently participated in a three-day retreat held at the Abiodun Adetiloye Hall, Trade Fair Complex, Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti.
The retreat brought together Local Government Chairmen, Secretaries, LCDA Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, Secretaries, LG Inspectors, Heads of LG Administration, and various other relevant stakeholders.
Led by Chief Folorunso Olabode, the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, the agenda of the retreat was strategically set to focus on the “Alignment of State and Local Government plans for enhanced coordination, value for money, and effective service delivery in Governance in Ekiti State.”
The Chairman of Ikole LG actively participated in the retreat, engaging with fellow leaders and stakeholders to foster a unified vision for the betterment of Ikole Local Government.
Reflecting on the experience, the Chairman expressed confidence in the positive impact the retreat will have on local governance.
The Chairman noted that this signals a renewed commitment to effective leadership and governance that prioritizes the needs and aspirations of the community.
“As Ikole Local Government looks forward to a future marked by excellence in service delivery, this retreat stands as a significant step towards achieving a well-coordinated and efficient administration.
I am committed to implementing the lessons learned which demonstrates a proactive approach to ushering in positive transformation for the residents of Ikole Local Government.”
Addressing the gathering, Chief Folorunso Olabode highlighted the retreat’s goal — to ensure excellence in service delivery by aligning state and local government plans.
