EKITI POLICE ARRESTS SUSPECTED CAR THIEVES

…recovers stolen vehicle

The Anti-Vehicle Theft Section(AVTS) of Ekiti State Police Command has arrested one Taiwo Johnson and Ibrahim Aderinto for allegedly stealing a Toyota Corolla 2009 model at the owner’s compound in Ilomu -Ekiti

The Operatives trailed the suspects to Kajorepo area in ibadan, Oyo State capital, after the complainant reported that his vehicle was stolen in his compound.

In a statement in Ado Ekiti, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Sunday Abutu said the suspects confessed to the commission of the crime and implored members of the public to be conscious an report any suspicious person within their environment to the Police,

Mr Abutu also advised car owner to practice all car security measures such as: registering with the Force Central Motor Registry(CMR), installing tracking device, parking in the best places possible, installing tyre locks, amongst others.
