NLC Finally Commences 2-day warning Strike

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has commenced the 2-day warning strike earlier threatened, following the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government.

This is coming after the President of NLC, Joe Ajaero, recently revealed that, the National Executive Council, NEC of NLC has resolved on an indefinite shutdown of the country within 14 working days or 21 days until steps are taken by the Government to address the situation in the Country.

Following this resolution, Mr Joe mentioned that, a two-day warning strike would embarked on to protest the excruciating mass suffering and impoverishment experienced around the country.

He said, “NEC in session of NLC resolved to embark on a total and indefinite shutdown of the nation within 14 working days or 21 days from today until steps are taken by the government to address the excruciating mass suffering and the impoverishment experienced around the country.”
