NASS Principal officers: Akpabio List Has Tinubu’s Consent, Not APC Leaders, Senator Sani Alleges

By Udesinanna Stephen

Following the appointment of principal officers in the National Assembly, the former Senator of Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani has alleged that Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abass made the appointments with the consent of President Bola Tinubu and without harmony of the All Progressives Congress, APC, leadership.

The Senator made the allegation recently via his Twitter handle, @ShehuSani.

It could be recalled that the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, said the National Working Committee, NWC of the party, had no contribution to the emergence of the leaders of the House.

Senator Shehu said, “Akpabio and Abbas’s list seems to have been announced with the consent of the President but without consulting or harmonising with the party. The signal here is that the party leadership is shut out or kept at arms length.”
