By Udesinanna Stephen

After a month of subsidy removal by President Bola Tinubu, the Nigeria National Petroleum Company, NNPC has said the burden on subsidy has ended.

The Company said this on its verified Twitter handle, @nnpclimited

Roundoffnews reported that nearly N400 billion could be saved monthly due to the removal of fuel subsidies. In the same line, the Spokesperson of the All Progressive Congress, APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, recently said $10 billion was spent in 2022 on subsidies which could have been saved.

NNPC, on its petrol subsidy fact sheets, noted, “Federation Continuously in debt for subsidy payment. End of a burden, beginning of a new era of renewed hope and opportunities.”
