CELEBRATION GALORE AS MOBA PRIMARY HEALTH CARE WORKERS THROW VICTORY PARTY

….honour retirees and outstanding Health care centres under the council

It was celebration galore as Primary Health Care workers in Moba Local Government rolled out the drums to celebrate 2024 end of the year party and 2025 Thanksgiving.

The ceremony also commemorates the emergence of the workers as first among the 16 Local Governments in Ekiti State in Primary Health Care service delivery for 2024 and celebration of members who have retired.

Members in their large number wined and dinned to appreciate God for the successes of 2024 with the hope of a better 2025.

Present at the ceremony are Directors in Moba Local Government, Ward Development Committee Chairmen, Primary Health Care workers that Retired from service between January and December 2024, all Primary Health Care workers in Moba Local Government and other invited guests.

Highpoint of the occasion was the presentation of award to the first 3 best performing Health Facilities in the Local Government as a mark of encouragement and boosting the Morales of the workers

Otun Health Clinic clinched on the first position, followed by Aayeoja Health Clinic and Osun Health Clinic.

Addressing the gathering, the Local Government Health Secretary, Mr. Aroge Olu James said the occasion was the 3rd of its kind since his assumption of duty in Moba Local Government.

He noted that the occasion was a celebration of success as Moba Local Government Primary Health Care service delivery was adjudged to be the best in Ekiti State as pronounced by Ekiti State Primary Health Care Development Agency on 23rd December 2024.

According to him, today’s get-together was used to celebrate the health workers and also give award to the best 3 performing Health Facilities in the LGA.

He encouraged the Health workers to see the victory as a challenge to work harder in order to maintain the lead in the state in the subsequent years.

He congratulated the retirees among who are Mrs Modupe Babalola, Mr Akande and others for retiring hail and hearty.

The Health Secretary expressed appreciation to the Ekiti State Hon. Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Oyebanji Filani for his various health initiatives and for supporting the Victory party.

He also appreciated the DG Ekiti State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Ayodele Seluwa for his leadership roles in bringing Ekiti Primary Health Care to a high pedestal among the comity of states in Nigeria as reflected in the year 2024 Nigeria demographic survey.

He in the same way gave kudos to the Chairman, Moba Local Government, Hon. Dele Fadugba, and his management team for giving them the enabling environment to display their skills.

Also in his remark, the Local Government Director of works Engr. Bayo Abiona, who spoke on behalf of other Directors appreciated the Health workers for the life saving jobs that they are doing.

He congratulated the PHC workers for making the Local Government proud by coming out as the most outstanding local Government in Ekiti state.

Similarly, Mr. Famosaya, the Director WASH corroborated Abiona by urging the Primary Health Care workers not to rest on their oars.

In his contribution, Mr. Bayo Kusoru, the Chairman of WDC Chairmen in Moba Local Government could not hide his joy as he eulogised the Health Secretary and his team for the yeoman’s job in bringing moba Local Government to the lime light among the comity of LGAs.

He, on behalf of other WDC Chairmen in the local Government pledged full support of the communities in Moba LGHA for every Primary Health Care Programs.

Speaking on behalf of the Retired health workers that were honoured, Mrs Modupe Babalola, a Retired officer in charge(OIC) of Osun Health Clinic expressed deep appreciation to the management of Moba Local Government Health Authority for deeming it fit to honour them.

Mrs Adeleke Kudirat, the officer in charge(OIC) of Otun Health Clinic which came first among Moba Local Government Health facilities dedicated the award to all her health workers and all communities in Otun Ward 1 for their cooperation and support
