The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has implored the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, to exercise patience with President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying that it is not the time for strike following the removal of fuel subsidy.
He made this plea yesterday at the Cathedral Church of Christ Marina, Lagos, during his inauguration thanksgiving programme.
He noted that all the presidential candidates had promised during their respective campaigns to remove fuel subsidy once voted for.
He said, “We need to be very patient, I mean, he (Tinubu) has not even done a week. So, let us talk to ourselves and say that we shouldn’t turn this into a political thing. Let’s wait and support this man (Tinubu); he’s not done a week on the job.”
