Following the declaration of Guiness World Record, GWR, on Tuesday, of an Irish Chef, Alan Fisher, as the new record holder of the longest cooking record by an individual, the previous Nigeria record breaker, Hilda Baci has said that, she remains a record holder in spirit and in history.

Hilda made the statement in a tweet via her official X account while replying critics demanding why she updated her bio.

Replying them, she noted that, sportsmanship is about recognising progress, adding that, whether the accolade is in her bio or not, she still maintain relevance, thus, called the celebration of achievement and the spirit of competition.

She tweeted, “Just as Chef Lata respectfully acknowledged the new record holder by updating her bio and later fine tuning the wording I’ve adjusted mine too.
Achieving such a record is no small feat, and I know this firsthand.

“I have only the greatest admiration for the hard work it took for Alan to reach such heights. Sportsmanship is about recognizing progress, whether the accolade is in my bio or not. I remain a record holder in spirit and in history. Let’s celebrate achievement and the spirit of competition.”
