In an exciting Premier League derby at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester United defeated Manchester City 2-1 after a spectacular late comeback. After Josko Gvardiol gave the home team a well-earned lead with a clinical finish in the 36th minute, City first appeared to be in control.

After struggling to establish a rhythm in the first half, United fell behind 1-0 at the half. Shortly before halftime, tensions erupted as Rasmus Højlund of United and Kyle Walker of City were both sent off for a heated altercation. But in the last few minutes, the game completely changed.

There was a jolt of excitement in the United camp after Bruno Fernandes equalized with a well-executed penalty in the 88th minute. Following persistent United pressure in the game’s closing minutes, the penalty was given. Amad Diallo completed the comeback two minutes later, scoring in the 90th minute after Lisandro Martínez provided an assist.

With a goal that silenced the City crowd, Diallo gave United a vital three-point victory. Manchester United will view the win as a huge morale boost as they try to gain ground in the Premier League.
