Former EKSU Deputy Vice Chancellor, Aribisala becomes fellow of Nigeria Academy of Engineering

A former Deputy Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Professor Gbenga Aribisala has been elected as a Fellow Nigerian Academy of Engineering.

The elevation which is contained in a letter by the Secretary of the Academy, Engineer Mrs C. O Adelowo also announced the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress,APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore as among the 13 persons elevated to the highest body in the Engineering profession in Nigeria.

The letter addressed personally to all the new fellows reads, ” On behalf of the President and Council of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering, I am pleased to inform you that Council at its Meeting held on 28th March, 2023, approved your election as a Fellow of the Academy.”

The letter describes the new fellows as those who “have demonstrated the highest professional and ethical integrity and are committed to placing their enormous wealth of experience at the nation’s disposal”

The date of the induction is to be communicated to the 13 new fellows.

Professor Gbenga Aribisala, former Vice Chancellor of EKSU who was elevated as a Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, NSE nineteen years ago, had made tremendous contributions to the practice and teaching of Engineering in Nigeria and abroad, most especially in the area of Water Resources and Construction.

There are currently 169 Fellows of the Academy who are accomplished Nigerian Engineers in diverse engineering disciplines and related backgrounds.

The Nigerian Academy of Engineering is a body comprising very senior Nigerian and foreign engineering professionals, with a foremost objective of advancing and pursuing excellence in Science, Technology and Engineering.
