EKSU GETS NEW COUNCIL, HOLDS INAUGURAL MEETING

The Governor of Ekiti State and Visitor to Ekiti State University, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has inaugurated the new Governing Council of the university.

The new Governing Council was inaugurated along with the Councils of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science & Technology, Ikere Ekiti and Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.

The Governor expressed confidence in the ability of members of the Governing Councils and charged them to move their various institutions forward.

Speaking on behalf of the Governing Councils, the Pro-Chancellor & Chairman, Governing Council, Ekiti State University, Professor Akin Oyebode expressed gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for identifying the members for the task of rescue mission in the various institutions.

He assured the Governor that members of the Council would do their utmost best to face the challenges ahead.

The new Governing Council of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, under the Chairmanship of a former Vice Chancellor of the university and a Professor of International Law and Jurisprudence, Professor Akin Oyebode thereafter moved swiftly to the university campus after the inauguration ceremony for its inaugural meeting.
