…says it will be a vigilante of imperialism in West Africa

One time Senate Representative of Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu not to join the West in sanctioning the Niger Republic, saying that Tinubu should not weaponize electricity supply to Niger Republic.
The Senator said this recently on his Twitter handle @ShehuSani while commenting on the regional matter.
Recall, Roundoff news reported that Tinubu, as the head Economic Community of West Africa States, ECOWAS has sanctioned Niger Republic and demanded for military intervention, notwithstanding the Nigeria Senate rejected military option and President Tinubu has gone diplomatic.
According to Shehu, sanctioning the Niger Republic makes Nigeria a vigilante of imperialism in West Africa.
He said, “President Tinubu should not weaponise electricity supply to Niger Republic. Nigeria should not be the vigilante of imperialism in West Africa. The President should be careful not to be the new apprentice of French neo-Colonialism in our subregion.
“This is a moment we should seize for a new Independent West Africa, beginning with killing the CFA, Cedi and Naira and adopting a common West African Currency.” He contends.
