The League of Veteran Journalists in Ekiti State has hailed the Director General, Office of Community Communications, Mrs Mary Omotosho for her creative and professional way in promoting government activities.
The League of Veteran Journalists stated this on Monday when they paid a visit to the DG in her office in Ado-Ekiti.
According to the Chairman of the body, Prince Kayode Oni, the purpose of the visit is to foster mutual understanding and collaboration with the office and show solidarity to the Governor Oyebanji’s administration.
Acknowledging the DG’s creativity and professional way in which she promotes government activities, particularly in reaching grassroots communities, they eulogized her as their pride and revealed the appointment of Governor Oyebanji as the league’s Grand Patron, affirming their firm alignment with his administration.
Comprising seasoned Ekiti journalists and editors from both electronic and print media, the league boasts members who have not only served the state diligently but have also earned distinction in journalism and media practice worldwide.
Prince Oni emphasized the league’s commitment to leveraging their wealth of experience, even in retirement, to contribute to the state’s development and governance.
They aspire to provide additional support that would further promote the good works of Governor Oyebanji at all levels.
The body revealed that the appointment of Governor Oyebanji as the league’s Grand Patron is to recognise the governor’s exceptional leadership, describing it as unprecedented and remarkable.
In her response, Mrs. Omotosho expressed her delight at the visit, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the office and such distinguished professionals. She highlighted areas of potential collaboration to enhance the transformative governance agenda of Governor Oyebanji.
