CBN Debunks Allegations Of Fresh Plot Against President Elect

Following the publication in the Nations Newspaper today, Monday 13th March, 2023 edition alleging that the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele has launched a fresh plot against the President-elect, the Bank has debunked the allegation as false and malicious.

The allegation also have that, “the Governor has made a certain amount of money available to a candidate ahead of the March 18th, 2023 Gubernatorial poll”.

The Bank debunked the allegations in a press statement signed by the Director of Corporate Communication, Isa AbdulMumin today, few minutes after the news.

It states, “We wished to inform members of the public that this story is completely false and malicious as CBN Governor does not know or even spoken with Mr Gbadebo Rhodes -Vivour, either in person or through a proxy.”

The release also mandated the publics to check- mate information relating to CBN and its administrations, so as not to divulge wrong notions about the Governor, stressing that the Governor is not Partisan and is only concerned about the financial duties he was appointed to serve.
