Bayelsa, Imo, Kogi Guber: We’ll man States with adequate security – IGP

Ahead of the gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi States, the Inspector-General of Police, Ag. (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has said the force will man States with security measures so that eligible voters can exercise their civic duty without fear or intimidation.

This was revealed in a press statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi and obtained from its X handle @PoliceNG.

The IGP said, “Adequate deployments and security measures will be emplaced to create an environment where every eligible voter can exercise their civic duty without fear or intimidation.”

According to him, his administration is committed to upholding democracy and ensuring peaceful, free and fair elections.

Also, he called on concerned bodies to support Police efforts in maintaining the peace and security of these states before, during, and after the election periods.
