Nigeria ‘ll Partner Cuba on Agriculture, Technology Innovations – VP Shettima

Vice President (VP), Sen. Kashim Shettima, has said, Nigeria will explore the Agriculture, Science and Technology innovations in the Republic of Cuba for partnership.

The VP said this during a courtesy visit to the Vice President of Cuba, Salvador Valdes, at the Palace De Revolution in Havana.

This is coming a few hours to the G77+China Leaders’ Summit starting today.

As gathered from the X handle of the VP @officialSKSM, he said, “Our relationship has been very excellent over the years, and this relationship needs to be strengthened and upscaled.

“This is why I came with Ministers of Agriculture and that of Science, Technology and Innovation to explore future areas of partnership,” he affirms.

According to the VP, Nigeria respects Cuba, especially in her commitment to Africa.

In response, the Vice President of Cuba said the country respects its relations with Nigeria and takes it seriously, noting that Cuba considers itself an African State, which has inspired its support in the past decades.

VP Valdes noted that Cuba is ready to explore new areas of collaboration with Nigeria in sectors such as health, biodiversity and agriculture.
