APPOINTMENT: EKITI STAND UP FOR WOMEN SOCIETY CONGRATULATES DR OLOMOJOBI

…promises more support for women

Stand Up for Women Society SWS, Ekiti State Chapter, has described the appointment of Dr. Folake Olomojobi as the new Head of Service in the State as a well-deserved one and another greater height for her to build a strong supportive for Workforce.

In a statement in Ado Ekiti, the State Capital, Chairperson of the Society, Princess Adewumi Badegboyega and the Secretary, Lib.Hellen Akomolafe said the appointment was another milestone achievements of His Excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji led administration.

Princess Badegboyega and Mrs Akomolafe thanked the State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji,his wife, Dr. Oyebanji, the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye and other members of the State Exco for giving Women their rightful place in the State.

According to Stand Up for Women Society “Women play a very significant role in labour force and also served as an essential contributors to the growth and development of economy of the society more than their men counterparts in the world.

The leaders of Ekiti State SWS also expressed joy that the present administration in the State is giving recognition to women and fair measures saying ‘they can do more to make society a better ones’.

While congratulating Dr. Olomojobi, Ekiti Stand up for Women Society charged her to live up to the expectations of the people and to repose the confidence the present administration reposed in her to be more productive in the discharge of her duties.

Princess Badegboyega and Mrs Akomolafe then prayed for God’s guidance and protection over her and the State in general and pledged the association, continuing collabations with Government and Civil Society at all levels , to educate women to participate in politics and in policy making so that it will not be men dominance.

Recently, the Stand Up for Women Society in Ekiti State as an NGO, had presented some materials to the Erelu Adebayo Motherless Home at Iyin Ekiti,Campaigned against Female Genital Multilation(FGM) ,Gender Based Violence (GBV), Campaign against raping and participated in International Women’s Day among others.
