…Wants Increment in Local Government Monthly Allocation to Alahun-In-Council
The Alahun of Ahun Ekiti in Efon Local Government, Oba Jacob Adelowo Omole II has commended the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji for what he described as the Governor’s open and people-oriented policies since he assumed office.
He stated this in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Thursday.
The Traditional Ruler explained that Governor Oyebanji has done well in the last two years in the area of infrastructure, education, youths and women empowerment, hence the need for residents of the state to support his second term ambition.
Oba Adelowo went further to call on well-meaning Ekiti residents to support the re-election of Governor Oyebanji owing to his unprecedented achievements in office.
“Greetings to all sons and daughters of Ekiti State. I want to appreciate God for giving us Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji at this period where Ekiti is experiencing tremendous progress, peace and infrastructural development, be the time of fowordnes for us in Ekiti State.
“Governor BAO is a wonderful grassroots person who always makes himself available for the job instead of siting down in office and running the affairs of the state by proxies as he did during the last budget meeting held at Aramoko Ekiti.
“He promised the prompt construction of Eyindi Alanaka, Alagbonrin, Eleriun in Efon Local.Government about two months ago and work has commenced.
“For this kind of promise keeper, I think all Ekiti sons and daughters should support his second term in office because Ekiti people has never had it so good.”
Oba Adelowo appealed to the governor to extend his ongoing infrastructure development to Alahun Ekiti, lamenting that the town lacked good roads, portable water and functional health centre.
The monarch also expressed dissatisfaction over the megre monthly allocation giving to Alahun in Council from the monthly allocation of Efon Local Government, appealing to Governor Oyebanji to help increase the money as enjoyed by other Traditional Rulers.
