PFN Vice President, Bishop Adelakun Warns Pastors Against Seeking Spiritual Power From Herbalists

…as he visits Ekiti to strengthen, Impact, encourage Churches

The Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Taiwo Victor Adelakun, has cautioned pastors against seeking spiritual power from herbalists, warning that such practices are inconsistent with Christian faith and the true calling of the ministry.

Bishop Adelakun, who spoke in Ado-Ekiti during his visit to Ekiti State, said pastors who resort to herbalists in search of spiritual power were not serving God.

He urged Christian leaders to depend on God for divine empowerment, stressing that prophecy and spiritual gifts should be deployed for the advancement of God’s kingdom rather than for material gain.

The PFN Vice President described his visit to Ekiti as a serious assignment aimed at strengthening the Church of God and the PFN in the state.

He said the assignment required commitment, dedication and concerted efforts, expressing confidence that, with God’s help, it would make a meaningful impact.

According to him, Christians need two major spiritual pillars fire and power to succeed in the work of God.

Bishop Adelakun explained that spiritual fire gives believers passion and dedication, while divine power enables them to overcome challenges and accomplish what may ordinarily appear impossible.

Earlier, the Chairman of the PFN, Ekiti State Chapter, Bishop Kayo-Ajayi Kolade, welcomed Bishop Adelakun and his entourage to the state, describing the visit as one that came at a critical period for the Church in Nigeria.

He said the church needed spiritual maturity, unity, courage, prayer and purposeful leadership to confront emerging challenges.

Leaders and members of the PFN had earlier received the visiting delegation at Iyin-Ekiti, while the programme continues tomorrow with the ordination of bishops.
