Yuletide: DMPII Distributes #1.2M Food to 100 Families in Ekiti

A Non- Governmental Organisation, Divine Motivation for Positive Impact Initiative(DMPII) has distributed 100 food boxes to some selected residents of Ekiti State in the spirit of Yuletide.

50 of the food boxes were given to selected residents of Araromi Obo, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State, while another 50 Food Boxes were randomly distributed to families in different communities across Ekiti State.

Presenting the items to the beneficiaries, Founder/President of Divine Motivation for Positive Impact Initiative (DMPII) Mr. Gbenga Emiloju, the gesture was to put smiles on the faces of the people.

He said:”Our joy multiplies when we extend a hand to other people through kindness and charitable orientations.”

“All some people need for them to be happy at Christmas is just a little act of kindness from others, and they are praying for who God is going to use for them.”

“As the Christmas season is in the air, I strongly believe that God can use our gifts, both in cash and items as answers to some people’s prayers.”

The Secretary of the NGO, Mrs. Adesola Adetayo while addressing the beneficiaries, said, the purpose of the Food Boxes distribution to families at Christmas is a way of showing love to them and to make life more beautiful and meaningful for the people, especially, those families living at the grassroots.

She thereby enjoined people to extend the little they can afford to others, as that can be the only thing they need to survive.

However, she said the Organisation is still in need of financial support to achieve its aims thereby, urging well-meaning individuals to support the movement.

The 100 Food Boxes distributed, which cost more than a million naira, contained items such as Yams, Rice, Garri, Beans, Semo, Wheat, Vegetable Oil, Palm Oil, Salt, Maggi, Match boxes and an enclosed message of Hope from each sponsor of the Boxes.
Our appreciation goes to everyone who supported us to achieve this feat, may God continue to help and increase them. Amen. “Giving is Living”
