He said, “I charge you to surpass the achievements of your predecessors and leave positive, remarkable landmarks in Ekiti State through your selfless and active participation in development activities. Do not forget the motto of NYSC, ‘Service and Humility’. Let discipline and love for the nation be your guiding principle. Always have at the back of your mind that ‘whatever is not right, you must not do it.”

Also, the State Coordinator warned the Corps Members against indulging in social vices such as cultism, gambling, drunkenness and other immoral acts, urging them to feel at ease in the State and to be committed to the goals and objectives of the Scheme, which is primarily to unify Nigeria.

“You are therefore enjoined to take every bit of this orientation course seriously as this will determine your level of success in the service year. The scheme has put several parameters in place to measure your performance during the service year, as the scheme will not hesitate in meting out appropriate punishment to erring corps members. Very soon, you will be witnessing the inauguration of the camp court, which will try and punish erring corps members in accordance with the laws.
