Women’s Day: My administration committed to supporting women – Oyebanji

The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji said that his administration remains committed to supporting and uplifting women in Ekiti State.

The Governor made this known today via is twitter handle, @biodunoyebanji, while celebrating International Women’s day.

He added that he recognizes the contribution of women to the society and advocate for gender equality.

He said: “As a government, we are proud of the progress we have made in the areas of women empowerment, affirmative action and promotion of gender equality, even though there is still much work to be done.”

The Governor also disclosed that women who are champions of women’s rights and empowerment are given key positions in his administration.

“When women are given the tools and opportunities to succeed, they can accomplish anything. We will continue to prioritize the education and wellbeing of women, as well as their economic empowerment.”

The Governor also appreciated his wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji who inspires and supports him, and all women who are working to support their families and the government.
