UAE-Nigeria crisis: Ahmad commends Tinubu’s pursuit to mend diplomatic issues

By Udesinanna Stephen

The Media Aide to former President Mohammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has commended President Bola Tinubu’s pursuit to restore and mend “lingering” diplomatic issues with the United Arab Emirates.

Ahmad said this on his X handle @BashirAhmaad.

Recall, the UAE authorities had in October 2022 slammed visa ban on Nigerians, after suspending flights over its inability to repatriate trapped funds in Nigeria, and some Nigerians in UAE violated its laws, Premium Times reported.

Ahmad said, “The Federal Government, under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, has embarked on a commendable journey to restore and mend lingering diplomatic issues with the United Arab Emirates.

“As Nigerians, it is our responsibility to be law-abiding citizens in the host country once these diplomatic efforts bear fruit.” He added.
