Traditional Chiefs in Ekiti Endorse Governor Oyebanji for Second Term

….hold new year prayer

Traditional Chiefs in Ekiti State have endorsed Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for a second term in office based on his outstanding performance in the last two years.

Chairman of the Ekiti State Traditional Chieftancy Title Holders, High Chief Oluwole Ogundakin announced this after the first meeting of the association in 2025

High Chief Ogunsakin noted that the decision to endorse Governor Oyebanji was a unanimous agreement of the house considering the various development projects embarked upon by the Governor which cut across sectors and communities.

He sought the support of government and all well meaning individuals to build a befitting Secretariat for the association, adding that a committee has been set up to that effect headed by High Children Gbenga Agbona, the Elemo of Oke-Emo, Ilawe Ekiti.

Ogunsakin noted that the association was set up to ensure robust partnership between community Chiefs and not to supplant Obas.

The Chiefs had earlier prayed for the peace of Ekiti, the traditional institution and government officials.
