
…as new Chairman, Prince Ade Ajayi promises to connect members with International community
The National Association of Yam Farmers, Processors and Marketers, Ekiti State Branch has elected new executive members that will pilot the affairs of the union for the next four years.
The executive members are Prince Ade Ajayi, Chairman, Secretary, Mr Titus Alade, pastor Joshua Ogunleye, Treasurer, Mr Thomas Duduyemi, PRO, Women Leader, Mrs Grace Oluremi, Financial Secretary, Mr Sunday Adekogbon, Mr Olukayode Ahmed, Youth leader and Assistant Secretary, Mr Oluwatoyin Ojo.
In their goodwill messages during the event held in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State Coordinator, Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Mr Segun Aderemi,
vice president, South West of the Association, Mr Olatunde Dare and the ochidoma of Idoma people living in Ekiti State, Otache Oyigocho charged the new executive members to be united and make use of every opportunity to promote the association.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, National Association of yam farmers, Processors and Marketers, Prince Ade Ajayi promised to transform Ekiti State into a global hub for the exportation of yam tubers and processed derivatives.
Prince Ajayi noted that, the State Cargo Airport would also serve as opportunity to connect agricultural produce to international markets and commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji;s contributions to economic development, especially in the area of Agriculture.

We will also work tirelessly to attract grants and loans to support processing and packaging, ensuring that Ekiti State exports both raw and processed yam products. This will not only enhance our value chain but also significantly boost the GDP of our state”

“I will introduce my already laid-down initiatives, such as the “World Iyan Carnival Office to Farm Cooperative,” to create a structured support system for yam farmers. This cooperative will ensure that farmers are adequately covered and empowered to thrive in a competitive market. Together, we will enhance the productivity and profitability of every farmer within this association”
