Taraba Gov Proposes Affordable Tertiary Education, Reduces fee by 50%

Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas has said that there will be a 50% reduction in the school fees of the Taraba State University, Jalingo.

The Governor disclosed this after engaging in a consensus meeting with the Management of the Institution and the Students.

According to him, the policy which would be effective from the next academic session would enable Tarabans to have access to education, without serious burdens.

He said, ” I made an unscheduled visit to Taraba State University, Jalingo. After engagements with both the Management and Students of the Institution, there will be a 50% reduction in School fees, effective from the next academic session.

“This development became very necessary because we must ensure Tarabans have access to Education, without unbearable burdens.”

Reacting to this, Senator Shehu Sani commended the Governor, stating that, “He is setting the pace for an affordable tertiary education in an era where others are thinking otherwise.”
