SMEs to partner Ekiti Govt for Development

Small and Medium Enterprises, SMEs in Ekiti State said it is willing to partner with the Ekiti State government in the promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises.

The newly elected Vice Chairperson, SMEs in Ekiti State, Mrs Sanyaolu Adebola, who doubles as the Women leader, Association Of Nigeria Woman in Business Network (ANWBN), revealed that SMEs will be collaborating with the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji to foster recognition and support.

Speaking with our correspondents in Ado-Ekiti, she noted that their aim is to identify with government towards making SME a pillar of development in the state and making efforts to make them globally competitive.

She said: “We are in partnership with Ekiti State Government although, we are yet to align ourselves with this particular government, we are planning to go and see him to let him know that we exist, BAO is our person.”

She urged youths to be creatively inclined by identifying new concepts that would enable them become self employed rather than salary inclined.

“I want to advice our youths, immediately they graduate and after their service, they should not delight themselves in looking for white collar jobs or waiting for government to give them appointment. They can go into farming, I am also a farmer. They can grow in financial intelligence, using their hands and brain.”
