Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa has revealed how he took advantage of his wife’s position as the President of the Appeal Court to manipulate judicial decisions.
The statement was spotted in a video obtained from the house of Senate during the valedictory session to dissolve the 9th House of Senate.
Recall that the Senator’s wife, Zainab Bulkachuwa functioned as the President of the Appeal Court between April 2014 to March 2020 which clashed with the period her husband was elected as the Senator of
Bauchi North Senatorial District in 2019.
In his words, “Particularly my wife, whose freedom and independence I encroached upon when she was in office, and she has been very tolerant and accepted my encroachment and extended her help to my colleagues.”
Reacting to this, Senator Shehu Sani via his Official Twitter Account @ShehuSani maintained that the words of Bulkachuwa exposed the shortcomings of the 9th Senate.
He said, “Senator Ahmed Lawan wanted the Country to see the Bills of the 9th Senate and Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa wanted the Country to see the lavatory of the 9th Senate.”
