The race for the Senate President of the 10th National Assembly has led to a division in the All Progressives Congress, APC, as more senators-elect across political divides, have aligned with Abdulaziz Yari and Orji Uzor Kalu’s camp, the Sun reports.

This is happening ahead of the inauguration of the National Assembly next week Tuesday.

More so, suspect is coming following Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari’s visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari in his home in Daura, Katsina State.

“22 senators-elect from various political parties and spreading across the six geopolitical zones, accompanied Yari to Daura,” according to Sun.

The Northwest APC Senators and Bola Ahmed Tinubu have thrown their support to Goodwin Akpabio, leading to a divide in the ruling Party.

Recently, Senator Orji Kalu of the APC has said he joined forces with Yari in pursuit of his aspiration as the Senate President of the 10th National Assembly.
