President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has just sworn in Senator George Akume as the New Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The brief event, attended by dignitaries, including some serving and former Governors, saw Senator Akume taking his Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office around 11:06 am inside the Council Chambers of the Villa.
Senior Officials at the ceremony included Vice President Kashim Shettima; Senate President Ahmed Lawan; Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan and wife of the new SGF, Ms. Regina Akume.
