PASAN COMMENDS EKITI ASSEMBLY OVER APPOINTMENT OF AGBEDE AS SUBSTANTIVE CLERK

The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, Ekiti State Chapter, has showered encomium on the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye and members of the 7th Assembly for exemplary leadership and commitment to transparency in appointment of Mrs. Titilope Agbede as the substantive Clerk of the Assembly.

This is contained in a statement by PASAN Chairman, Dr. Gbenga Oluwajuyigbe and the Secretary Adeyemo Aderemi.

According to the statement, the decision to appoint Mrs. Agbede, a seasoned and qualified officer, demonstrates the Assembly’s dedication to due process and adherence to the Ekiti State House of Assembly Service Commission Law 2022.

It’s notes that the development confirms the Speaker’s promise to uphold fairness, equity, and excellence in the House administration.

It reads:”We commend the Assembly for recognising Mrs. Agbede’s talent and expertise, gained from her service as Deputy Clerk (Legislative Matters) prior to her appointment. Her elevation is a well-deserved recognition of her hard work and dedication to the House.

“We also appreciate the thorough screening process that preceded the appointment, ensuring the best candidate emerged for the position.

“Furthermore, we wish to express our gratitude to Bar. Opeyemi Ajibola, the Acting Clerk, for his commendable service in holding forth before the appointment of the substantive Clerk. He displayed exceptional competence, maturity, and decorum in administering the House during this period. His dedication and leadership are truly appreciated, and history will surely be kind to him. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.

“Once again, we thank the Rt. Hon. Speaker and the members of the 7th Assembly for this exemplary decision and wish Mrs. Agbede a successful tenure as the substantive Clerk, Ekiti State House Assembly.
