Oyo state workers have on Monday gone on a massive protest over the failure of Governor Seyi Makinde’s government to provide palliative care to workers.

Roundoff news gathered that, the workers have locked the state secretariat in demand for an upward review of pension allowances, payment of salary deductions, payment of leave bonuses, and gratuities to retirees.

According to a report obtained from the Tribune, those participating in the protest are workers and pensioners from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), and other Organizational bodies.
