Oyebanji’s Aide Bags Double Prestigious Awards

…to be Inducted into Yoruba Heroine Hall of Fame

One of Governor Oyebanji’s aides, Mrs. Mary Oso-Omotosho, Director-General of Ekiti State’s Bureau of Community Communications, has earned dual honours, further affirming her contributions to public service and community development.

On Tuesday, she received an award from the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) at its 3rd International Engineering Conference held on the university’s Ikole campus. The DG was represented by Engr. Falodun, who received the award on her behalf.

Also, Mrs. Omotosho is set to be inducted into the Yoruba Heroine Hall of Fame on November 15, in an investiture ceremony at the Ooni’s Palace, Ile-Ife, Osun State, courtesy
of the Yoruba Heritage Leadership International Platform.

Meanwhile, the FUOYE award, presented at the conference theme “Innovative Engineering for Sustainable Development,” speaks to Mrs. Omotosho’s exceptional dedication to advancing public communication in Ekiti State, building a bridge between government and the grassroots.

Expressing her appreciation over the award, Mrs. Omotosho attributed her achievements to the opportunity given by Governor Oyebanji, whom she praised for his support and trust in her abilities.

“This is more than just an award for me,” she said. “It is a recognition of governor Oyebanji’s strong belief in women’s capacity and especially,the opportunity he has given me to serve which further portrays Mr Governor as a true promoter of women and gender – friendly . Good work only means more work, each success is a reminder that there is more to do.”

She also expressed deep gratitude for her upcoming induction into the Yoruba Heroine Hall of Fame, calling it a profound personal honour.

“To be counted among Yoruba women who have made lasting contributions is humbling. This recognition goes beyond me, it’s for every young girl who needs to know that hard work and dedication open doors.”

“The best way to honour these recognitions is by ensuring that our initiatives continue to uplift lives and create tangible change,” she added.
