Olufemi Hassan Takes Over as President, Ekiti Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture

The Chief Executive Officer of FEM Soap, Adehun Ado Ekiti, Alhaji Olufemi Hassan has taken over as the new President of the Ekiti Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture, with a pledged to build on the existing structures for the growth and development of the Chambers.


In his acceptance speech during the handing over ceremony from the former President, Dr Femi Ogunmola, Alhaji Hassan promised to work with Governor Biodun Oyebanji to create an environment conducive for economic growth and prosperity.

He appreciated his predecessor Dr. Femi Ogunmola, and other past presidents for their tireless efforts in reshaping the Ekiti State Chambers of commerce, Industry mines and Agriculture with a promise to consolidate on the good legacies.

Alhaji Hassan acknowledged the invaluable support received from the guru of the Chambers movement in Nigeria, Otunba Dele Kelvin Oye, the first Ekiti person to become the National President of NACCIMA.

While appreciating some of the strong leaders of the Chambers, Chief Adesola Ayodele and Chief Kola Akosile, for the track records and significant roles roles in bringing the Chamber to the forefront after a period of inaction, Alhaji Hassan urged all members and people of Ekiti State to rally round his administration yo as to record unprecedented successes.

Alhaji Hassan who is also the Chairman landlord Association of Ile-Ileri Community, sought the support and partnership of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for the Chambers of Commerce.

His words: “I stand before you today aware of the rich tradition of the Chambers to slate positions, a practice that has fostered unity of purpose within our community. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Femi Ogunmola, the outgoing president, for his tireless efforts in reshaping the Ekiti State Chambers of commerce, Industry mines and Agriculture ( Ekiccima) His dedication and commitment have set a solid foundation upon which we can build a stronger future.

“I would also like to acknowledge and express my gratitude to all the past presidents who have contributed their time, energy, and expertise in building the structure we have today. It is on this very structure that my fellow executives and I will build upon to further strengthen our Chambers and serve the needs of our members.

“In our journey towards progress, it is essential to recognize the invaluable support we have received from the guru of the Chambers movement in Nigeria, Otunba Dele Kelvin Oye, the first Ekiti person to become the National President of NACCIMA. He has been a steadfast pillar of support for Chambers in Nigeria, particularly for his home Chamber. We pray that God continues to strengthen him in all his endeavours.

“Chief Adesola Ayodele and Chief Kola Akosile, your records speak volumes. Each of you has played a significant role in bringing Ekicimma to the forefront after a period of inaction. Your contributions have not gone unnoticed, and I extend my sincere appreciation for your outstanding services.

“As we move forward, I urge all members of Ekiti state Chambers of commerce industry mines and Agriculture (Ekiccima) and the people of Ekiti State to rally around our esteemed Governor, His excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji BAO, and provide him with the necessary support to build a new Ekiti State. I believe that through collaboration and unity, we can create an environment conducive to economic growth and prosperity for all.

“Moreover, I would like to take this opportunity to make a heartfelt plea to His excellency Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, requesting his support for the Chambers of Commerce. Your assistance in our endeavours will undoubtedly contribute to the overall development and success of our community. We eagerly anticipate your partnership and appreciate your unwavering commitment to the advancement of Ekiti State.

“Finally, I want to express my utmost gratitude to each and every one of you present here today. Your presence signifies the importance of this moment in history, and I am truly honoured to be part of it. May the Almighty Allah continue to strengthen and guide us as we embark on this journey together.”
