Obi Condemns N15bn FG’s Budget For Shettima’s New Residence

Labour Party, LP, 2023 Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi has condemned the allocation of N15 billion budget by the Federal Government, FG, to build a new residence for the Vice President, Kashim Shettima.

Obi made the comment via his X handle lately, while expressing his views on the 2024 budget presented by the President, Bola Tinubu.

According to him, the provision of N15 billion for the construction of a new residence for the Vice President is shocking and disheartening.

He said: “The recent news about a budget provision of N15 billion for the construction of a new residence for the Vice President is both shocking and disheartening, considering the many important challenges facing our nation.

“Just recently in the Supplementary Budget, the sum of N2.5 billion was included for the renovation of the Vice President’s residence in Abuja, which means that he already has a residence.”
