EFCC Arraigns Couple For Alleged Land Fraud In Enugu

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Enugu Zonal Command has reportedly arraigned a couple, Mr Udeani Simon Sunday and his wife, Udeani Dorcas Amaka for an alleged land fraud.

This was made known by the Squad through its official X Account @officialEFCC on Tuesday.

The couples were reportedly arraigned before Justice M.G. Umar of the Federal High Court sitting in Enugu on a three-count charges bordering on obtaining the sum of N2,750,000.00 by false pretence in an alleged land fraud

More so, they pleaded not guilty to the charges, which propelled the prosecuting Counsel, Nurudeen Ingawa to pray the court for a trial date, while the defence counsel, E.C. Nwauba Esq made an application for their bail.

Moreover, Justice Umar granted them bail with the sum of N5 million with one surety in like sum, which must be a civil servant not below grade level 10 and residing within the court’s jurisdiction. The case was adjourned till February 6, 2024.
