NAWOJ Election: Members flag off campaign in Ekiti

The Ekiti State Nigerian Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, has kicked off campaign for vying members in view of the November, 25th national elections by the Group.

The campaign started with the acceptance of one of the vying candidates from Oyo State Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ Council, Mrs Morenike Tony-Esan, today.

The one time Zonal Vice President of NAWOJ and Ekiti born Journalist from Ipole-Iloro Local Government, LG, vying for the position of the National VP, assured members a considerable recognition, saying that, she is vying for south-west Nawojians.

She said, ” I am passionate about the NAWOJ, women and children. I am vying for South-west Nawojians.I want to assure you that, I would consider this State first for any benefits.

Sequel to this, the Chairperson of NAWOJ Ekiti Chapter, Fatima Bello commended Tony-Esan for being the first candidate to visit Ekiti, thus, wished her a successful tenure in advance.

She said, ” I want to commend and wish you a successful tenure in advance. As a matter of fact, you are the first candidate to visit Ekiti for electoral campaign.

“However, we have not been gaining anything from the national and we hope you address this when you are voted in.”
