NAPTIP SECURE CONVICTION OF MOTHER, SON IN EKITI OVER CHILD TRAFFICKING

Hon. Justice  Babs Kuewumi of the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti,  Ekiti State has sentenced one Omodan Grace Ebunoluwa and her son Omodan Okiki to one-year imprisonment.

The  50-year-old woman from  Odo Igbemo town, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State and 18-year-old Omodan Okiki of Odogbimo street, Igbemo Town,  Irepodun/Ifelodun LGA, Ekiti were arrested by the Amotekun corps for child trafficking.

They were handed over to NAPTIP which investigated and arraigned them before the court.

The duo were said to have connived  to recruit one  Soremi Boluwatife Olamide of Omi Olori Street, Idolofin, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State and one Adebayo Rukayat of Omi Olori Street, Idolofin,Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State for exploitative prostitution.
