NANNM Executives congratulate Ekiti Nurses on Mayday Celebration

…seek better welfare for nurses to avert mass exodus

The leadership of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives Ekiti State Council has rejoiced with members of the union across the state for the celebration of this year’s Mayday.

This is contained in a statement jointly signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Kunle Oni,  State Secretary, Comrade Olabisi Ayenioye and and the State PRO, Comrade Olaoluwa Odunayo.

The Executives also congratulated all chairmen and secretaries of unions in the state, saying this year’s Mayday calls for celebration considering the positive turnarounds among the workforce.

The nurses leaders appreciated all nurses in the state for their great sacrifices towards providing qualitative health care services to people of the state.

According to them, the impact of nurse in any health institution cannot be quantified.

They appreciated Governor Oyebanji for all he has been doing but urged him to do more to avert mass exodus of members to greener pastures.

The SAC members noted that most of their best hands are jetting out of the state on daily basis but said such could be stopped if government provides necessary working equipment, conducive environment and proper remuneration.
