Major Shakeup Hits Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti

No fewer than 14 senior academic officials were affected by a shake-up at the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti.

The institution’s Director of Protocol, Information and Public Relations, Mr. Adeyemi Adejolu, in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday said the move by the new Rector is to rejigged the Polytechnic Administration by making some fresh appointments.

The statement reads: “New Rector of The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Engr. Temitope John ALAKE has, with a view to making a fresh start under his watch, rejigged the Polytechnic Administration by making some fresh appointments.

“Dr. T.J. Alake, who assumed office as the Rector in the wake of the recent election break for Tertiary Institutions, on Thursday, 23rd February, 2023, hit the ground running with the appointment of Dr. Olusola Luke Oluwagbuyi as the new Dean of the Institution’s Continuing Education Centre (CEC) with effect from 1st March, 2023.

“The Rector has also within one month of his assumption of office as the 7th Substantive and 2nd Alumnus Rector of the Polytechnic made other key appointments across Directorates, specialised Centres and other arms of the Polytechnic Administration.

“Dr. Olusola Luke Oluwagbuyi – Dean, Continuing Education Centre; Mr. Oladapo P. Ajibola – Sub-Dean, Students’ Affairs; Mr. Olusola G. Adedara – Director, Academic planning; Dr. Charles A. Ologunde – Director, CRID; Dr. Samuel N. Abereola – Deputy Director, CRID (SBS); Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunke A. Fasuyi – Deputy Director, CRID (SES); Mr. Remi Akinyemi – Director, Ext. Linkage & Advancement; Dr. Braimoh O. Jimoh – Director, CEDVS.
