…..Rallies Christians for Tinubu, Oyebanji
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Dr. Olusegun Osinkolu, has declared that Nigeria can defeat the cankerworms of insecurity, inflation, poverty and other crises pummeling the nation and impeding its prosperity, with peace and unity.
The Patron of the Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard, said for Nigeria to be a nation of pride, there was imperative of every citizen maintaining peace and unity among diverse ethnic and religious groups, warning that any deficit will rob the country of expected growth and development.
To fasttrack the driving of Nigeria to the promised land, Osinkolu appealed to Christians all over Nigeria to eschew discrimination and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s rebranding and transformation agenda being implemented.
The APC Chieftain, also rallied the Christians’ backings for Governor Biodun Oyebanji, for Ekiti subnational to be epicentre of development in the comity of states in Nigeria.
The Ayede Ekiti born politician, said these in a statement released, on Sunday, felicitating Christians on the occasion of Easter, which symbolizes the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Osinkolu said the country could have long reached the promised land, if the citizens can imbibe the philosophies of sacrifice, love, togetherness, honesty and trustworthiness demonstrated by Jesus Christ , who paid the supreme price for the salvation of humanity.
Osinkolu stated that though the nation is currently undergoing the pains of restructuring being undertaken by President Tinubu, but exuded confidence that there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
“I know that the nation is passing through a stage of highly painful economic restructuring being carried out by President Tinubu. But I believe the light at the end of the tunnel will soon begin to shine for Nigerians to see.
“There is no gain without pains. As Nigerians, time has come for all of us to value our nation, pray for its survival and resist conflict and war mongers , who are profiting from ethnic and religious upheavals that are shaking our unity and togetherness.
“There is no nation without challenges, but a nation can become great even in the midst of adversity when citizens demonstrate honesty, patriotism, sincerity of purpose, value unity in diversity and respect leadership. This remains the magic for Nigeria to rise to greatness.
“We must all support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Pray for the survival of our nation and make the right sacrifices toward its uplift in all respects”.
Osinkolu advised Nigerians to embrace those lofty and adorable features exhibited by Jesus Christ for the love of our nation and to save Nigeria from collapse.
“As Christians in Nigeria join their counterparts across the globe to celebrate Easter, we must bear in mind that we have no other nation than ours. We must pray for its survival at both the national and subnational levels”.
