The Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Abubakar Kyari, has assumed office as the party’s Acting National Chairman.
The APC made this known in a statement published on its Twitter handle @OfficialAPCNg.
The statement reads, “The Deputy National Chairman (North), Sen. Abubakar Kyari and Deputy National Secretary, Barr. Festus Fuanter on Monday assumed office as acting National Chairman and acting National Secretary, respectively following the resignation of Sen. Abdullahi Adamu and Sen. Iyiola Omisore.”
This is coming less than 24 hours after the former National Chairman of the Party, Abdullahi Adamu, reportedly resigned from his position.
Until the time of this report, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is yet to comment on the development.
