Israel unveils Hamas tunnel in Gaza hospital, blames UN, WHO

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has unveiled a Hamas tunnel under a Gaza hospital, saying that the militia group is going against the humanitarian law by using humans as shields.

This was made known recently in a statement issued by the Spokesman of the Israeli Government, Eloy Levy.

Levy on his X handle @EloyAlevy, said, “Hamas built an underground tunnel network under Gaza’s biggest hospital, in violation of International humanitarian law (IHL). Come join us on a deep-dive into the Hamas tunnel complex underneath the Shifa Hospital.

“Hamas’ cynical exploitation of hospitals as human shields, in flagrant violation of international law, has nullified their protected status and put people at risk.

“It is hilarious, when you think about it. The WHO (World Health Organisation) performed a ‘risk assessment’ at the Shifa Hospital over the weekend and did not think to mention the terror tunnels in the basement. We demand accountability from the UN (United Nations) agencies in the Gaza Strip.” Levy added.
