Israel-Hamas War: UN calls for ceasefire, says humanitarian aid in Gaza inadequate

By Udesinanna Stephen

The United Nations (UN) has called for a ceasefire to grant an influx of humanitarian aid, saying that aids allowed into Gaza are not enough.

The Secretary General of the UN Antonio Guterres said this on his X handle @antonioguterres.

He said, ‘I reiterate my call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire and for unimpeded access to be granted, consistently, safely and to scale.

“The level of humanitarian assistance that has been allowed into Gaza up to this point is completely inadequate.” He noted.
