Int’l Boys Day: Corps Members in Ekiti Sensitise Students on Career Pursuit

…as Lead Trainer advises Boys Against Glamour of Superstars

In commemoration of the International Day of the Boy Child, corps members serving in Ekiti State under the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has senstised students on career pursuit.

The corps members of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), Community Development Service, CDS, group, embarked on ‘Rise Campaign’ in Ado-Ekiti to sensitise the boy-child toward a successful career pursuit.

Speaking at the event, Lead Trainer from SDG, Kene Nwachukwu emphasised the need for the boy-child to take life seriously and refuse to be influenced by the glamour of music superstars and comedians.

Nwachukwu added that it takes hard work to reach any height and there are lots of careers to aim at noting that anyone can climb the professional ladder and become great in life.

Also, the General Secretary of Editorial CDS group, Glory Onwumere, who doubles as the event Manager admonished youths to start early in making plans for the future.

More so, a member of the SDG group, Chike Ikechukwu, who spoke on the demands from the boy-child and how to fight youthful lust urged young boys to emulate the life of the Neurosurgeon, Ben Carson.
