GOV OYEBANJI APPOINTS EXECUTIVE SECRETARIES, HEADS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION

The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has approved the appointment of four Executive Secretaries and 18 Heads of Local Government Administration to further strengthen the local government service in Ekiti State.

Speaking while handing over letters of appointment to the appointees, Mr. Babatunde Jegede, permanent secretary, Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission described the appointment of the officers as a watershed and an unprecedented development in the annals of local government administration considering the number of the appointed officers.

The Permanent Secretary charged the officers to rededicate themselves to duty and be more committed to the ideals of the local government service to enable them render services efficiently and effectively.

He stressed that their new appointments entail higher responsibilities calling on them to ensure that their expertise reflect in the discharge of their duties.

According to Mr. Jegede, all hands must be on deck to ensure the success of the 6 Point Agenda of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

He lauded the Governor for promoting career growth in the local government service as well as giving workers’ welfare a topmost priority.

Responding on behalf of the HLAs, Mr. Sesan Aina expressed profound appreciation of the newly appointed officers to the Governor for finding them worthy of the appointment pledging unalloyed loyalty of the entire workforce of the local government to the administration of Mr. Oyebanji.

Mr. Aina lauded the giant strides of the Governor in the areas of provision of infrastructure and workers welfare.

He assured that they would make their capability to bear on improved service delivery at the grassroots.

The newly appointed officers have been on acting capacity for the stipulated time while the appointments take immediate effect.
