“For the 2021/2022 session, a total of 240 graduating students will be conferred with their first degrees in various disciplines and 19 graduands at the Postgraduate level, precisely Master’s Degrees will be awarded their certificates.

“The breakdown is as follows for the first degree graduands: 17 in First Class, 88 in Second Class Upper, 107 in Second Lower and 28 in third Class.”

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Olalere Olabisi Hadijat emerged overall Best Graduating Student, with a CGPA of 4.76 in Industrial and Environmental Chemistry to earn 11 Awards during the convocation ceremony.

Hadijat, who spoke on behalf of all the graduating students thanked the university for impacting their lives positively.

Her words: “Over the past four years, we have all faced challenges, gone through different tough times and courses, walked, and worked beyond our limits, sacrificed so much to earn our degrees, learned new things physically and mentally, morally, religiously that will stay with us for a lifetime.

”When I reminisce on my experience while at Fountain University, I can sincerely conclude that there’s no better Institution with such fantastic staff that have helped students in achieving their goals, having inspired and shaped us into what we are today. When we reflect on the past and realise how far we have come, I think we can all agree that the experience, guidance and supervision have helped us develop into responsible adults. All these would not have been possible without this  prestigious University. We are grateful.”

Meanwhile, the father of Hadijat Olabisi, Mr. Tunde Olalere, a Deputy Director at the Lagos Ministry of Information and the Secretary of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council,  described the accolades as well deserved.
