FG Sets for Tinubu Inauguration, says Transition Council

The Federal Government of Nigeria Presidential Transition Council, PTC has met in preparation for the May 29 swearing-in of the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu saying that the media are involved in the preparation.

This was disclosed in a statement published on the council’s official Twitter account, @FGNPTC.

According to the statement, the meeting involves the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman Presidential Transition Council, Boss Mustapha, CFR, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Information and Culture/Chairperson, Media and Publicity Sub-Committee of PTC, Mrs. Lydia S. Jafiya along with Top Management of Nigeria Television Authority NTA, Federal Radio Cooperation of Nigeria, FRCN and Voice of Nigeria, VON.

Meanwhile, the Labour Party, LP, People Democratic Party, PDP, and other opposition parties are challenging the outcome of the 2023 Presidential election that led to the emergence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President-elect as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC; these opposition parties are seeking its nullification.
