The Chairperson, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabira-Eriwa has disclosed that Nigerians in Tunisia are among black victims of racial attacks in the country.

She disclosed this today via her twitter handle noting that the Nigeria Ambassador’s office is in consultation with the Nigerian Community to decide on evacuating Nigerians from Tunisia and that the commission is working with the IOM to arrange tickets for them.

Although, she said that some Nigerians have rejected the evacuation plans following the intervention of the Africa Union, AU, and the African Group of Ambassadors as they hope things comes to normal. “Those that have agreed to return to Nigeria are very”. She added.

“Though we don’t really have a large community of Nigerians in Tunisia as many of them are those rescued from the Mediterranean after a failed attempt to cross from Libya, the mission will update if they do request to return.” She noted
