FESSU President-Elect Hails EKSU Management On Reopening Of Institution.

The Federation of Ekiti State Students Union (FESSU) has commended the Management of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti over its decision to reopen the institution for academic activities.

The National President-Elect, Comrade Abel Adewale Ajibade gave the commendation in a statement in Ado-Ekiti in reaction to the management’s decision.

Comrade Abel Adewale Ajibade, popularly known as GEN. MIAMI said the reopening of the university for academic activities would restore the hope of the students who had been out of school for several months.

“We sincerely appreciate the State Government for its timely intervention on the ongoing ASUU Strike and also the University Management for their interest in development of the Students of Ekiti State University”.

GEN. MIAMI encouraged the EKSU Students to make diligent use of the opportunity that has been given to them, by taking their studies seriously.

According to him, “the Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs in a memo released on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 stated that the conclusion of lectures for second semester of 2020/2021 academic session have been scheduled to hold between Thursday, 22nd September and Friday, 21st October, 2022, while the second semester examination for the 2020/2021 academic session would hold between Monday, 24th October and Saturday, 5th November, 2022.

Meanwhile, lectures for 100 level students admitted for 2021/2022 academic session will commence on Monday, 3rd October, 2022.
Students should note that ONLY DULY REGISTERED STUDENTS of the University will have access to all the academic activities.

Furthermore, the Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs on behalf of the University Management hereby appeals to all the Academic and Non-Academic staff of the institution to give their maximum support so that both the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic sessions would be completed without further delay with a view to ensuring the survival of our common heritage (Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti)”.

GEN. MIAMI appreciated all Ekiti State Students for believing in his capability and voting for for him to lead FESSU.
